I have looked into a few online jobs from home such as TypingWealth.com and KeyOnlineJobs.com. Are there any sites out there where you can actually make a few hundred dollars a month? Has anyone tried to use these online opportunities before? If so, is it worth it if you put some time into it? I'm just looking for a bit of extra income.
Are online data entry jobs a legit way to earn extra money?
Yeah some are good and will work but the issue is that there are hundreds if not thousands of scammers out there. You should take a look at http://www.squidoo.com/typingathome they have some great reviews and provide great information. Anyway good luck!
Reply:Generally, the sites are 'agencies' that take your 'application fee' and then (ha ha) find you work ....
Not ALL are total scams, but, let's be honest, if you made money collecting fees 'up front', exactly where's the incentive to waste your time trying to find (non-existent) work for the client ?
Also consider.... IF the work can be done 'on-line'; by "anyone", why isn't it being done by shed loads of kids in the 3rd world being paid 50p a day by 'gang masters' ??
As for completing 'surveys' on-line .. exactly how is this 'work' (and who ON EARTH cares about the random opinions of random people on the web ??) .. also, our shed-loads of 3rd world kids can 'cut%26amp;paste' pre-prepared text (and randomly click boxes) in survey forms without even understanding one word of English ....
No, the ONLY people who want to know about your weekly newspaper, first school and your mothers maiden name are the ID thieves ...
Reply:First, there are a few cardinal rules I follow for looking for legitimate online jobs:
1) If they ask for any type of fees, RUN FAR AWAY!
2) You will most likely not find a plain ol' data entry job.
3) Work at home jobs are not any easier than regular jobs you do outside the home, anything promising lots of money for doing nothing is a scam or a bad business opportunity.
4) Do not "process payments" for anyone, you could end up in the big house.
5) Is the job they are offering going to "change your life", I doubt it.
6) Legitimate companies will not advertise their jobs on banners or spam mail.
With that said, I have some resources that I use when looking for work at home jobs. One is http://www.wahm.com message boards where you can network with other work at home people and get information about working at home. The other is http://www.workathomedesk.com which is a free site I use frequently for job leads and they also have a wonderful directory of companies that hire home workers. I hope this helps you get going in the right direction. Good luck!
Reply:I believe this is a scam, but check out this website, www.workfromhome.abulifestyle.com
There's information on paid per click, paid surveys and mystry shopping. All are free to join and some give you incentives to join ($5-10 bonus upon joining).
It's not going to provide you with instant income, but if you take time to build it up, it will generate a decent income.
The key here is multiple source of income.
Good luck!
