I am 26 years of age and I have a 6th grade reading comprehension level. I really want to attend Sylvan Learning Center because I have heard that they are really good at helping children as well as adults improve their reading comprehension skills. But they are very expensive and I would like to know can someone give some suggestions on what I can do to make money on the side to pay for this program? I thought about selling avon to the people on my job, but I don't know if people make that much money selling Avon. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.
Can someone please give me some ideas on what I can do to earn extra money?
Oh! I totally believe in Sylvan!!
I work at one and have for the last 6 years. Sylvan uses Travelers financial for their payment plans, so you can finance your tuition over a few years even. This can make your payments as low as $90 a month if you wanted them to be really low. Also, there is no penalty for paying it off early.
Tips to make extra money however,
-getting an extra weekend part-time job
-asking your family for help (as this is DEFINATELY a good cause)
-having annual garage sales
-reducing the amount of money you spend on eating out or other entertainment
***** Another hint, talk to your local Centre about summer specials that they may be having. Some Centre's do a huge summer promotion and have discounted tuiton or even free testing upon enrollment.
GOODLUCK!
Reply:Yes you can make good money selling Avon. Your success does depend on how much work you are willing to put into your business. Your desire to better yourself shows you have determination. I think if you applied that strong determination to selling Avon you would do well.
You get a 50% commission for your first 4 campaigns. .(campaign = 2 weeks) After that its based on your sales.
I have a woman in my downline who sells Avon to her coworkers and has been selling $400-$500 per campaign. After the first 4 campaigns if you sell that much you get 40% commission on your sales on Avon products. Other items such as watches, shoes and licensed products from disney and curves for example give you a 20% discount. So IF that included all Avon products you could be making an extra $320 a month.

Reply:well lwt me recomand being a waitress, my parents own a restaurant and I have worked as a waiter there sometimes to make some extra cash, believe me, the tips are very good, well, as long as you are single and have no children.
Reply:Well, I'm going to assume you already have a job. Do you work full-time or part-time? If you work part-time, maybe you can get another part-time job.
Baby-sitting is a good extra-money job. I did that through college in addition to my other job. I placed an ad in the newspaper and got a job. One afternoon I took those kids to the park and other parents saw me playing with them and they wanted my phone number for baby sitting jobs. It was a very easy way to earn extra money. And I got good references from the parents.
You might also be able to get a weekend job waiting tables. There are several restaurants that will hire a waitress just for weekend evenings, because that is when they're busiest.
You might could also place an ad as a dog-walker. People will pay a lot of money for regularly walking dogs.
Well, good luck!
EDIT:
Well, now I'm sorry I helped you since you're such a ***** in your extra details.
Reading Comprehension of a 6th grader? Can you even understand the answers you received?
Reply:getting a job would easily be the first choice..just look until you get one...resume's,first impressions matter so much...little things like that put you ahead of so many people that don't take anything serious...goodluck with your future.
