(In the UK)
I don't get paid for chores or babysitting my siblings/cousins (don't particularly want to take money off my parents because they really need it at the moment).
I don't want to babysit other kids (I do too much of it!)
Thanks!
What can a 15/16 yr old do to earn a little extra money?
When I was 15 I worked Saturdays in a hairdressers, washing hair, sweeping up, making tea, that sort of thing.
I also worked at my local Sainsburys store when I was 15, though we were on strict contracts becasue of our ages. In a school week, at 15, you are allowed to work no more than 8 hours per week. However if its the school holidays you can work up to 37.5 I think.
Try some little independant shops, that don;t belong to a chain, or some local cafe's etc.
Reply:paper round will earn you £25 a week!! get on your bike and get down to the local shop they are always crying out for paper boys and girls!!
Reply:get a paer round it didnt do me no harm and its 20 bob a week as well
Reply:CUT GRASS, SCAPE SNOW, WALK NAEIGHBORS DOGS, CARRY IN GROCERIES AND TAKE OUT TRASH FOR NEIGHBORS
Reply:I'm 16 and I have a part time job. I never had a job before september but I heard about a cleaning job at my school, which was 5.80 an hour for two hours everyday after school. Ask around your school if there's any jobs going and if not, ask local shops if they have any part time work going. It really starts to add up - I earn 232 pounds a month which is really good for someone who's never had a job before! It also looks really good on a CV if you've had a job before.
Reply:look in your local town/city with the run up to christmas you can get a saturday job. What about a paper round? good luck
Reply:There are certain stores that allow you to work at 16 years old. Also you can go work at a small business if there are any close to your home or school. They are always looking for extra help.
Hope this helps.
Reply:Well @ 16 you can get a job in America I'm not sure but, I bet you can over there to. Get a job. Even if it's flipping burgers at mcdonalds its more $ than no $. (you guys do have a mcdonalds right?)
Reply:you can probably do chores for your neighbors or something
Reply:get a weekend job or clean cars, take peoples dogs for walks
Reply:you could have a paper round or a glass collecting job on a saturday night
Reply:stand on a cornaer and take it hard
Reply:i got a Saturday job when i was 15 and I'm still at the same place now but obviously Ive moved up. I'm nearly 17 and live in the UK?
Good luck
Reply:get a saturday job, or garden for your neighbours or something. Open a car wash.
Reply:After school paper round, or babysitting for non-relatives, they pay you. If your 16 you can work as saturday girl in a shop or something.
Reply:well i used 2 work in a cafe as a waitress and i live in the uk. its not much money, but its better than nothing and it will give u some independance in life.
