I'm just tryna earn some extra money and I know I'm good at that so please respond

Depends on your state guide lines regarding ages to work. Here in Illinois you need to have a work permit if you are younger than 16. I think 13 is way too young. Age aside I think being a shampoo girl is a great way to learn to deal with people.
Reply:Try the African braiding shops. They never go by state regulations, but don't expect to get paid much!
Reply:Go to your local salons, and ask the owners. It depends on how they feel, really. Some might let you do it, and some might not. You just have to go out and ask.
Reply:Yes, Well in Texas you can I wanted to do the same thing, my Dad is a salon owner and we called a cosmetology school and I am getting my shampoo license when I'm 15.

Reply:No, they can't. I'm pretty sure they save those jobs for the new guys and girls that come and work in the salon. But even then, the legal working age is 16. However, ask around at daycares, they usually hire with the right papers signed. Good Luck =]
